Deena Jarrar Book

About Deena

Deena Jarrar teaches yoga in Amman. She found the practice in 2018 and now teaches a wide range of styles, mostly in private classes.

Deena, smiling, looking straight at the camera.

She came to yoga in 2018, drawn first to the physical side. Over time she came to value the quiet mind and the contentment it gave her, beyond the workout.

On trips through Europe she met like-minded yogis. That deepened her practice and made her want to teach.

She describes the whole practice as meditation in movement. It ends in final relaxation, where you can let go completely.

She does not like to stick to one kind of yoga. Anything powerful she loves. Anything funky she loves. Range is the point for her, and she teaches more than one style on purpose.

Every class she teaches she describes as a gift to herself.

A dance background

Deena has a background in dance. That is why Yoga Dance fits her. It puts movement to breath and it is choreographed, and the choreographies are her own.

She is the first teacher of Yoga Dance in Jordan. It is one of the things she offers, drawn straight from where she came from.

Where she has taught

She taught vinyasa and power at Over The Rainbow Yoga Studio in Amman from January 2020, the school that hired her right after she graduated. She taught flexibility for aerialists at Aerial Fitness Jordan from July 2022 to July 2023, building flows to balance an aerialist's practice with mobility work. She has also taught at Dunes Club in Amman from May 2025.
